Nikita and Josh ~ Portland Oregon Wedding Photography

Being from the desert of Vegas, I grew up with only one word for the wet stuff that falls from the sky - Rain!! When I was introduced to Portland, though, I obtained a whole new vocabulary just for that wet stuff. Drizzle. Spitting. Big rain. Raining cats and dogs. Pouring buckets. Sideways rain. Dewy. Droplets. Monsoon. Misting. Waterlogged. Unfrozen snow. Tears from heaven. Sleeting rain. Deluge. Sprinkling. Liquid sunshine.

Whatever it's called, that is what Nikita and Joshua got on their June wedding day in beautiful Oregon!!

The beautiful vineyard at BreckenRidge provided the perfect backdrop even in the rain.  Niki, in her stunning lace dress with a cut-out back, looked fabulous with Josh in his class A uniform, and even in the constant downpour, they were so obviously blissful!

As the guests started to arrive before the ceremony and take their seats, they were all huddled under their umbrellas and casting unpleasant glances upwards. However, the heavens pulled through, and as the music started and guests stood to watch the beautiful bride walk down the aisle, the clouds parted and the sun shown brilliantly. I love my job for moments like these!!! Thanks to all for letting me be a part of such a beautiful day!!

I had the honor of shooting this soggy yet stunning wedding with the ever talented Dustin Izatt of Dustin Izatt Photography. With his super stealth skills, he shot a bomb video without Niki and Josh even suspecting! Make sure to check out that on his blog. Now on to the main event.....

These next two breath-taking shots are from the amazing Dustin Izatt
